Snowy morning in Minnesota (finally). Good day for sleeping in and starting a late work day. And of course, cookies.


Oatmeal-Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chip Cookies
(based off these yummy babies)

 1 1/2 cup rolled oats

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup white sugar

1/4 cup chocolate chips

1/4 cup + 2 T chunky peanut butter 

1/4 cup milk

Blend first 5 ingredients together in a food processor. Mix with other ingredients, form into cookie shapes, and bake on parchment paper for 10 minutes 375 F. Makes 10 medium sized cookies.

My favorite little man noticed my red lips. And did a little makeup dance/mime show. What a peach. So patient during his sister’s volleyball game.

zoo & art.

Culture club strikes again, this time at the Como Zoo and the MIA (free, FREE!).  So many sad baby animals. The zoo is even sadder during the winter. Only the buffalo roam “free” outside. Hmm.

pizza day.

We made a Valentine’s Day pizza, with a yummy vegetable side for me and a pepperoni side for Q. Bunny B. loitered around looking for fallen greens. And we drank too much wine and listened to Chan Chan on repeat.

Woke up with a Riesling headache (tired-eyed and off-skelter, too) but with a new, beautiful orchid and a simple breakfast. Happy, happy V-day, world.
